Senior Games: March 31-April 30

The Uwharrie Senior Games & Silver Arts provides a little bit of something for everyone! It includes friendly and fun competition in various games/sports along with the opportunity to display abilities and skills in various forms of art for seniors ages 50 and over in Stanly and Montgomery Counties. Registration runs February 2-March 27. Here are some details:

Early Bird (registering by February 28th):     $20

Regular Price (registering March 1-27):       $25

Registration Includes:

·         Participation in opening ceremonies

·         Participation all games that you choose (some have additional fees)

·         Participation in all Silver Arts that you choose

·         Closing Ceremonies and dinner (additional tickets are $10)

·         USG T-shirt

Silver Arts Only: Those who wish to only do Silver Arts (& no games) can register for free (must pay $10 for T-shirt if you want one).

First-time games participants can register for free (must pay $10 for T-shirt if you want one).

Senior Games Activities (* = extra cost)

  • Basketball Shooting, Football Throw, Softball Throw, Fun Walk, Disc Golf, Croquet, Cornhole (singles, doubles, mixed doubles), Pickleball, Horseshoes, *Miniature Golf, Shuffleboard, Billiards, Bocce, Table Tennis, *Golf, *Cycling
  • Swimming Events (50, 100, & 200 yard), Butterfly, Individual Medley, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Freestyle
  • *Bowling (singles, doubles, mixed doubles)
  • Track & Field Events, Discus, Shotput, Running Long Jump, Standing Long Jump, 1500m Power Walk, 5K Power Walk, Races (100, 200, 400, 800, 1500m)
