Hello! I’m Sue.

I learned to crochet around 8. Knitting around 10. Embroidery around 13.

I learned to quilt in high school Home Economics, which also made me love weaving, as well as the love of all fibers!  I also love to paint, draw, and garden.

My mother-in-law quilted, and taught me even moreuntil I was teaching her my love of needle-turn appliqué. We used the old methods of hand quilting and using templates. It took a long time to even consider using my domestic sewing machine for quilting. It’s amazing what I can accomplish now!

I appreciate art.

I appreciate this Guild: the members and their work motivate me. It makes me want to share the love I have with fiber. Come and see how talented this community is! So many forms of art!
