I learned to crochet around 8. Knitting around 10. Embroidery around 13.
I learned to quilt in high school Home Economics, which also made me love weaving, as well as the love of all fibers! I also love to paint, draw, and garden.
My mother-in-law quilted, and taught me even more — until I was teaching her my love of needle-turn appliqué. We used the old methods of hand quilting and using templates. It took a long time to even consider using my domestic sewing machine for quilting. It’s amazing what I can accomplish now!
