Youth Art Show

This show is for Artists between the ages of 9 and 17 years old. Prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Places in two ages categories: ages 9-12, and ages 13-17.

High School Art Shows

Each year, the Stanly Arts Guild works with the local high school art teachers in Stanly County to host shows for the many talented students enrolled in their classes. This includes private, as well as public, high schools.

Spring Garden Craft Show

After those cold winter days, we are just jumping at the chance to beautify our yards and enjoy being outside. Our customers love being able to shop for unique art for their patios, decks and yards.
Vendors are invited to sell their beautiful yard art creations so everyone can add what they like best to their yard, garden, porch, deck, camper, wherever they want to decorate nature! Come by The Stanly Arts Guild store from this spring to see what you might find.

Excess Art Supply Sale

Spring is also the time when we are cleaning out our closets… maybe that new technique you tried during the long winter months just didn’t suit you…
Stanly Arts Guild hosts an Excess Art Supply Sale each spring. Let’s keep usable items out of landfills, try new things without a huge expense, and make room in your space for supplies that bring you joy.

Senior Art Shows

In 2019 we hosted our first local senior art show with Trinity Place, a local Home for Senior Living.  Some of the artwork was created by residents in their 90’s! Studies show that seniors who participate in art programs have improved health, well-being, and independence.  We enjoy showcasing these artists in Senior Care Facilities.

Summer Art Explosion

This is an “anything goes” type of show. There is no official theme. This show occurs during the long mid-summer days, and it’s just time for FUN art. We usually have a wonderful variety of art on display during this competition/show.

Ellen Cook Gaskin Memorial Nature At Its Best

Created to honor the memory and legacy of their mother, the family of Ellen Cook Gaskin presents an annual exhibition showcasing the wonders of nature. Entries in this competition should have a nature theme using one of the following as guidelines: fish, fur, feather, field, forest, or flower. Both 2-D and 3-D art are welcomed as entries.

Make A Bid For The Cure: Our Annual Silent Auction

Final Bidding was November 8th, 2025. We are excited to be able to give over $1300 to Stanly Health Foundation’s Free Mammogram Program. A HUGE THANK YOU to so many who made this possible!
All proceeds from our annual fundraiser go to the Free Mammogram Program at Stanly Health Foundation.

From Our Hands...

Every year our customers look forward to the opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind, handmade items during the Holiday Craft Show. They know to come to the Stanly Arts Guild & Gifts store to find them!
This year, we are excited to bring another opportunity for local artisans to sell their handmade items, and also to our community to Shop Local, Shop Small, & Give Handmade. We will have a one-day Handmade Market!

Stanly Arts Guild Member's Show

This is a chance for our members to show off their amazing artistic talents. To enter this show you must be a member of the Stanly Arts Guild.

Dwight J Dennis Memorial Photography Show

We have so many talented photographers in our area! Several years ago The Guild added an annual photography competition and exhibition to show off their talents. Sometimes the annual show will involve a particular theme, while other years will employ a  “photographer’s choice” to allow photographers to enter photos of any subject they prefer. After all, we’ve all have our favorite topics.

Three Rivers Quilt Guild Fat Quarter Challenge Show

A bonus show for The Stanly Arts Guild for 2025! We had the honor of hosting a mini quilt show by the Three Rivers Quilt Guild. Members who accepted the challenge were given an 18″ x 22″ piece of the same fabric to create a mini quilt no larger that 35″x35″, using any techniques they chose. This fun show was the result of those that accepted the challenge. Visitors to The Stanly Arts Guild were invited to vote for their favorite. The Challenge Fabric, if you haven’t spotted it, is in the center of the Viewer’s Choice ribbon.
