Creating Texture with Spider Web Fibers

We have a wonderful Mixed Media workshop coming up with none other than Susan Lackey!
Susan will guide you through a series of steps in this stress-free process. Using synthetic spider webs (Halloween kind) and watercolor paint, you will create textures on two different surfaces: Yupo and watercolor paper. The textured surfaces can be used alone as an abstract painting, or as a background for subjects (as shown in The Southeastern Long-beaked Teal Bird and the Cat).
Skill levels: All skill levels. No experience required.
Price: Includes ALL materials. $30 for Stanly Arts Guild Members / $40.00 for Non-Members
Ages: adults
LAST DAY TO REGISTER: January 15th, 2026. No Walk Ins for this session. Register at Stanly Arts Guild during open hours, or contact Susan Lackey directly at SusanLackeyArt@gmail.com.
