The journey toward this historic milestone is an opportunity to pause and reflect on our nation’s past, honor the contributions of all Americans, and look ahead toward the future we want to create for the next generation and beyond. Let us find ways to unify our nation and its people: let us find strength and find joy in the differences that make us unique. Let us find strength to listen, whether we agree or not: let us consider. Let us rejoice in our freedom: not perfect, but ours.
