Browsing through the unique items in our sales area is always an exciting adventure, whether you’re looking for that one-of-a-kind gift or just getting ideas for upcoming special occasions. We have artists working in almost any medium you may be looking for – oil painting, acrylics, watercolor, photography, copper repousse, & digital design art are a few of our 2-D offerings.
We also have artists creating pottery, Native American musical instruments, jewelry, wood carving & wood working, polymer clay, stained glass & glass art creations. We also carry local health & beauty products, including honey, healing balms & lip balms, soaps, lotions, beard balms, & sugar scrubs.
This doesn’t name everything we have available. You’ll have to come in and see the rest for yourself!
We would love for you to market your art with the Stanly Arts Guild & Gifts family. Artist sales are a part of our mission to promote growth and education in the community. Any Guild member in good standing is invited to sell original art and fine crafts, once you complete the jury process.
As a co-op style organization, we can offer excellent opportunities to sell in a brick and mortar venue with very low overhead costs. Being a co-op allows all working artists to not only have an opportunity to display and sell their art, but a chance to get to know the people who shop here. Many sales are made, whether straight off the floor or through the creation of a commissioned piece, because the customer was able to make a personal connection with the artist after meeting them while they were working at the Guild store.
Interested? Potential artists must present at least three of their representative pieces for review by our jury committee. The jurors are made up of local artists who have displayed, or are displaying, art in our sales area. Each different type of media that you wish to display and sell has to be juried prior to it being sold in our store. All work and sales displays are monitored to uphold the standards on which we have built our reputation as an original art and fine craft venue.
Because of the number of artists in house at any given time, there is a possibility that you may be put on a wait list until space is available. We also try to keep the store from becoming over populated with the same type of art. For example, if there are 5 potters in the store and you are a potter wanting to become a vendor in our store you will be put on a wait list until one of the existing potters removes their work. The exception to this rule is if the work you do is so unusual no one else in the store is offering anything like it, then you will be considered for an immediate spot in the store if space is available.
Thank you for your interest in becoming a part of the Stanly Arts Guild & Gifts store. Please contact us for more information.
