Joan’s love for pressed flowers began in 1972, when she first discovered the joy of preserving nature’s delicate beauty. Over the next three decades, she shared her intricate floral creations at craft shows throughout the eastern United States, earning admiration for her eye for detail and her gentle, nature-inspired style.
After taking a break from exhibiting, Joan felt the familiar pull of creativity and returned to her craft with renewed passion. Using flowers grown here in Stanly County, she is delighted to once again bring her pressed flower art to the community.
Joan is thrilled to be a member of the Stanly Arts Guild Gallery and looks forward to connecting with fellow artists and the wonderful customers who support the gallery. She hopes her work brings a bit of beauty and joy to all who visit.
