2026-2027 SAG Board Members

SAG Members were invited to attend the annual end of fiscal year picnic, where the previous year is celebrated and new officers are elected. The new fiscal/membership year will run from July 1st, 2026 thru June 30th, 2027.

A motion was made and carried to accept the following individuals into their elected positions.

The new SAG Board Members-elect are already jumping right in to bring forth art and creativity to the Stanly County Region. We are looking forward to an amazing year.

Michelle Efird – President

Presides at Board & Guild Meetings, appoint committee chairs, ex-officio officer of committees, drive stragetic direction, cultivate major donors, spearhead fundraising efforts, ensure legal compliance, primary public ambassador

Ginger Barker – Vice President

Assumes presidential duties when necessary. Handles special assignments or committee chairs. Shall be responsible for scheduling monthly programs for Stanly Arts Guild (returning in 2026-2027 year). Assumes office of president if a vacancy occurs.

Jeanette McKenzie – Treasurer

Manages and oversees collection of funds and proper distribution of funds. Keeps accurate financial records, presents a financial statement quarterly. Prepares annual financial report. Ensures compliance with non-profit standards and all required tax filings.

Carole Poplin – Recording Secretary

Records all meetings and reports these records when requested by the presiding officer. Maintains official corporate records. Maintains up-to-date member contact information & rosters. Ensurs compliance with bylaws.

Vicki Galloway & Debbie Clineff – Media/Marketing

Compiles/edit/distribute Newsletter, Email blasts. Maintains & updates social media presence (Facebook, website). Promote events and SAG activities. Works with other committees to share information.

Matt Steed – Member At Large

Adjunct officer to offer diverse expertise beyond traditional officer roles. Leads specific initiatives or committees. Acts as a bridge between The Executive Board, Committees, artists, and Guild Members. Provides recommendations and progress updates as needed.

Sloppy Joes

  1. Brown the onions, green pepper, and ground meat in a large skillet.
  2. Add the ketchup, chili sauce, brown sugar, dry mustard, vinegar, and salt.
  3. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Serve on bread or buns of choice.
